French Club is celebrating a French holiday of “La Chandleur” or “The Candle” by making crepes. The holiday is set forty days after Christmas and represents the coming of mid-winter. The club members have the goal of celebrating French history as if it was their own. French Club is planning this event on February 1st and is meeting in room B-35. French Club is led by Oak Hills High School French teacher, Susan Kratofil, and meets in room B-35 every first and last Thursday of the month.
Keilana Gardner, a sophomore at OHHS and Secretary of the French Club, was happy that the holiday was being celebrated, “I am excited to get the chance to experience a part of French culture and at the same time grow closer with other members.”
