Have you ever heard of that saying, “Don’t judge a book by its cover”? This applies to life in many ways and let’s be honest everyone is guilty of doing so. But maybe judging a book by its cover isn’t always a bad thing. Rikki Morrell is an English II and English III teacher who created the “Book Face” assignment for her classes. Her students were assigned to create an image using the cover of the books. Below are the top voted images from her classes.

“Book face is a creative way to bring art and literature together,” said Ms. Morrell, who discovered this idea online and shared it with her students for the first time this year. Although it was offered as extra credit, this assignment can be very inspirational to both literature and art. To those who will have Ms. Morrell in the future, “Book Face” is something to definitely look forward to!
