In recent news, Oak Hills High School Career Center Specialist Diane Rodriguez sent an email to inform students and staff about the cancellation of the Career Day and College Showcase.

In the email she explains, “Due to the recent COVID 19 state/county mandate, our Career Day and College Showcase 2020 set for next Friday, March 20 has been cancelled by our district office,”

This event was supported by volunteers from the school district and college and career members. Staff who recommended guest speakers will be notified.

As of March 13th, when the email was sent, there is no reschedule date for the remaining of the school year.

Diane Rodriguez continues, “…it is nearing the end of our school year and [it is] unknown of how long the mandate will be in effect.”

Events throughout California schools continue to be cancelled due to developments of the COVID-19 (also known as the Coronavirus) in various counties.
