The end of the year has come for the Class of 2019 Oak Hills High School seniors as graduation is just a week away. Students are asked to turn in their Chromebooks and textbooks on Friday, May 17th to the OHHS Bulldog library during their assigned English class.

Here is what the Class of 2019 needs to know:

Clear your Debts

Students need to make sure they have all of their school debts cleared. These debts can be from unreturned textbooks or unpaid lunch money. According to the OHHS Head Counselor, LaRae Harguess, “Check Infinite Campus and with any Club Adviser which you belong to and see if you have any debts.”

Athletic Uniforms

All student athletes must turn in their uniforms before the end of the year. Sadly, it will be a struggle for some athletes to give up their jerseys and say goodbye to their teammates but it must be done before graduation day, May 30th.

Senior Survey

Students are also asked to complete a survey given by Mrs. Harguess. If students do not complete the senior check out list they will not be allowed to receive their graduation tickets.

The survey asks about what seniors should do before graduating high school and what plans they have after high school.

Chromebooks and Books

Technology support specialist Nate Stokes Jr. says, “When students turn in their chromebooks they must be cleaned, with the cases on the Chromebook, and must have their [Chromebook] chargers.”  In addition, Library Media Clerk Tracy Huson explained that students must turn in all of their textbooks and any reading books borrowed from any of the Hesperia Unified School District schools in order to receive their diploma.

If a student needs to find out if they have any debts they can check Infinite Campus or Web Advisor. Seniors are encouraged to double-check with their counselor for more information about checklist but will also be handed a checklist at graduation practice on Tuesday, May 28th.
