Oak Hills High School students will be testing from April 16th to the 26th this year. Freshman to juniors will be taking different tests over the course of three days, April 16th-18th. The extended periods April 22th-25th will be for juniors taking the ELA CAASPP in their English classes. The testing period will be for the students who have to take longer tests like the CAASPP, CAST and PSAT 10.

“I think that if this is what the district’s choice was then they must know what they are doing out of the experience. We kind of have to put our trust in them so if this is how much time they think we need, then [I’ll accept it],” commented Mia Carter, a 10th grader at OHHS.

In an email with the Assistant Principal Matthew Johnson states, “The consequence of not attending school on a test day is that students will face the same consequences as any day they miss school. However, over the next couple of weeks, that student will be pulled from their regular classes to make up the test they missed. This may cause them to miss out on important instruction in those classes.”
