Students in JROTC are taking the ASVAB test on April 3rd, 2019. ASVAB (The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Test) is the test to see if students qualify to be in the military. From this test students are also able to see what job they will be assigned if they do pass it. The test has different sections that requires knowledge in multiple things.

“The ASVAB test is a very good way to study and see what job you’ll be eligible for. I highly recommend someone to take it to see what they should study if they aren’t very good in a specific subject.” -Yozlayn Hernandez, senior in JROTC.

This shows how Oak Hills High School provides opportunities for students to get a jist of what they would like to do in the future. Being able to take this test gives JROTC students a chance to see if they are prepared to enlist. The test will be in room F-3. Students are reminded via Daily Bulletin announcements, or by counselors and Diane Rodriguez in the career center during assemblies or in classes. There has been reminders for this test since December.
