Finding places to go during spring break in the High Desert can be quite complicated as it seems like options are limited but, there are always places that each person has yet to discover. There are things such as escape rooms, animal sanctuaries, amusement parks and more to enjoy over this one week period if you plan on staying locally. Here are a few ideas of places to go to make your spring break more enjoyable.

“I try to do a lot over spring break to make it more enjoyable and it is always fun to try out new things and go new places” states Alejandro Moran, an Oak Hills High School senior.

Scandia Family Fun Center

This family-friendly amusement park has many things to do such as mini-golf, thrill rides, an arcade, go-karts, and more. Prices vary depending on what you chose to do, and can be found on their website. It is a great place to go with friends or family and enjoy the many events offered.

Forever Wild Exotic Animal Sanctuary

This exotic animal sanctuary located in Phelan has a mission to change animals lives by rescuing them and preserving their lives. There are many animals to see here such as tigers, raccoons, bears, and much more. The hours for when you can visit are online and it is recommended that you call before visiting.

Hesperia Lake

Hesperia Lake is a great place to visit with family and friends. There is a camping area as well as areas to have picnics. A store is also at the location that sells snacks as well as bait and tackle for anyone needing any supplies.

Escape This

Escape This is a live escape room experience located in Hesperia. An escape room is a type of physical game that is also an adventure. People are put in a scenario and have to use clues given to solve puzzles and complete tasks in a given amount of time. Reservations are required and the recommended age limit is 12 and over.
