The Oak Hills High School library is suggesting students to start using an educational site called Flipgrid. Flipgrid is a place where students can put book recommendations and are able to post videos of themselves giving advice for study skills or their opinion of the book they have previously read. The site gives students an opportunity to find help on subjects in school that they might not understand on their own. With Flipgrid, students are able to do fun activities like scavenger hunts, and are even allowed to record themself to give their thoughts on a subject.

“Hey you! Yeah, you!,” Teacher Courtney Bell said on the flyer for Flipgrid that is posted in the books located in the OHHS library. “This looks like a great book! Your friends are always asking me to recommend books for them to read, but let’s face it, I’m not the kid. They don’t want to hear from me. They want to know what YOU think!”

By having Flipgrid available, students are able to receive help on subjects, gain information, better book recommendations for students to obtain and get different perspectives on certain subjects.
